Having worked in the Behavioral Health field since 2009, I've witnessed various companies’ struggles and successes. Across the board, agencies tend to grapple with common challenges in communication, operations, marketing (growth and development), and maintaining a robust organizational structure. Moreover, I've observed a growing need for improved documentation practices, particularly in distinguishing meaningful therapeutic interventions eligible for Medicaid reimbursement from superfluous content. This discrepancy has led to an increase in audits by managed care organizations, widespread inefficiencies, and a failure to ensure consumer well-being. Many companies lack internal audit and risk management protocols to address these issues and mitigate financial setbacks. Hence the birth of THE MAXIE GROUP!

Our History
THE MAXIE GROUP was named after the famed American Psychiatrist, Mr. Maxie Clarence Maultsby. During his career,
he participated in an intensive training in behavioral health at Eastern Psychiatric Institute, as well a creating a more formalized psychiatric, appropriately known as Rational Behavioral Therapy which at the University
of Wisconsin.
